Ricardo from Avondale
"I would like to nominate my husband, Ricardo S., for the Super Dad of the month. My husband works in Mesa six days a week and must leave our home in Avondale at 4:00 am each morning to get there by 5:30 am. He works til 5:30 every day then drives home and grabs his gear and heads out to the park to coach our sons' football teams. We have four boys. He has coached for NYS league football and all the boys on his teams just love him. He practices long hours and never complains! He also still has time for our daughter, Nikki, too. She is four going on forty and a real handful! On top of all of this, he plays with the children in my home daycare when he gets home from work too. He just adores children.

Nick G. from West Phoenix

(6/14/2007)"I would like to nominate my husband, Nick G. He is an EMT Paramedic who would give his life for his children.
Nick and I have three (3) children - a 17 month old daughter, and 11 week old, twin boys. When Nick isn't working, he is being Super Dad! There is not a parenting task that he will not or can not do. Daddy and daughter are like two peas in a pod. He will cook for her, bathe her, dress her, take her shopping, teach her the alphabet, her numbers, how to do things, what things are called. He is really shaping our little princess into quite a wonderful toddler.
He is also wonderful with juggling the twins, especially when mommy needs a break. He has found a way to change them, feed them, and get them to sleep, without missing a beat or getting frustrated.
While at work, Nick is a Super Hero. He is a Paramedic because he loves to help people. His mission - Save Lives! He's got a wonderful bed side manner, and coupled with his knowledge of his profession, he makes for a wonderful, pre-hospital care taker.
As they say, 'to know him, is to love him.'
Best,
Andrea G."

(6/4/07) "Dear South West Valley parents, I want to nominate my husband and father of our two kids Sean. Sean and I have been married for 6 years as of July and we have 2 wonderful kids together ages 4 ½ and 1. He somehow manages to work full time, attend school full time, and still tucks both kids in every night without fail. All of his free time is spent at home with the family. He helps cook, bathe the kids, read bedtime stories, and get down on the floor and play. The most amazing thing about my husband is that he does all this without complaint and with a smile on his face knowing that he is sacrificing sleep now so that he will always be able to provide for us.
Thank-you
Kim"

DALE K. from Goodyear
(3/30/07) "When I think of a 'Super Dad,' I’m instantly reminded of my husband Dale, or throughout our community, better known as Coach Dale.
This year will be our 10 year Wedding Anniversary. He has given me so many things, but the most valuable blessing he has given me is our three children. Our oldest son, Tyler, is 8 years old. Our middle son, Travis, is 6. And our daughter Tessa, is 4. I asked them to describe to me what a 'Super Daddy' meant to them. Here’s what they said: Tyler responded, 'Daddy coaching me since I was little.' Travis responded, 'When Daddy takes me to the Phoenix Zoo.' And Tessa replied, 'When Daddy helps my teacher in my preschool class.' After that they finally caught on and the list went on and on. Then they asked me the very same question. Mom, why do you think he’s a 'Super Daddy?' I thought for a second, many different thoughts and memories came to mind. I replied, 'It would have to be how Daddy gives so much of his time to you three kids, and now, to all the other kids in our community.' When Daddy and Mommy got married, even before any of you were born, Daddy was coaching Little League in Buckeye. His passion for coaching hasn’t stopped.
Dale’s love for his three kids and their friends has given him the desire and enthusiasm to organize and begin a youth sports program called Estrella Youth Sports or EYS. Founded by Dale in November of 2006, he started what he thought would be a way for kids in Estrella Mountain Ranch to get together and play a little baseball, as well as, shoot some hoops. What he thought would be about twenty kids, grew to be 160+ kids our first season of EYS. What an unbelievable response we had gotten from the entire Estrella community. We’re now in our 'Spring Session' season and have registered 300+ children in a sport they really enjoy. And just when you think he’s running out of time, he finds more time to serve on the board as the President of Goodyear Little League.
I have never met anyone to be so giving and available with their time. His patience and kindness shine through and through. You can see the sparkle in his eyes and hear the excitement in his voice when you talk to him about his children. They enjoy when Daddy helps in their classrooms, has lunch with them regularly at Westar Elementary, and always finds time for one-on-one outings with Daddy.
If you asked Dale what his favorite thing about been a Daddy is, he’d probably say, 'when the kids tell me they love me.'
So as you can see, not only has the Lord Blessed us with a 'Super Daddy,' he’s also Blessed me with a 'Super Husband.
Thank You!
- Minnie K."
